At the forefront of development

Progress in science and technology is patient, long-term work that takes time.

Yet sometimes a particular field, research topic, or idea requires a burst of funding to test its potential. Multi-year projects, multidisciplinary thematic consortia, and investments in infrastructure are just a few examples of how these targeted resources are used.

Spearhead donations have already supported the operations of Metsähovi Radio Observatory – Finland’s only astronomical radio observatory – as well as the founding of the interdisciplinary Bioinnovation Center. Thanks to donor support, we’ve advanced smart building design and cybersecurity education, supported film production, and created hands-on professorships in clean water technology and humanitarian architecture.
