Short breaks in Aalto internet connections on Thu, 8 Oct between 5-6 pm
There will be short breaks in internet connections ( VPN, VDI, campus connections) of the Aalto University on Thursday, 8 October between 5-6 pm due to the investigation of hardware fault.
Maintenance break on Into Wed 7 October starting at 8 am.
The maintenance break will last approximately five hours and Into (into.aalto.fi) will be unavailable during that time.
Firewall software update on Monday, 28 September at 6-12 am
ITS will update  firewall software of the Aalto University on Monday, 28 September at 6-12 am. The update will not have affect on communication networks.
Turn on the new Teams meeting experience
With the new experience, meetings open in new windows with all meeting controls and functions available at all times. You can also easily share the content from the main Teams window. You will also have new Gallery options available.
Maintenance break on AaltoWiki on Tuesday, 15 September from 9 am to 2 pm
There will be a break on wiki.aalto.fi  on Tuesday, 15 September 2020 starting at 9 am, ending approx. 2 pm. The service will be unavailable during that time.
Fixed - Research portal (research.aalto.fi) does not update at the moment
Due to technical difficulties, Aalto University’s research portal (research.aalto.fi) does not update at the moment. The service provider of the portal, Elsevier, is solving the problem as quickly as possible.
Hearing loop coverage and active T-signs in lecture rooms
A hearing loop coverage maps has been installed on the walls of a total of 48 lecture rooms showing the field strength of the hearing loop. This way, we make it easier for the person using a hearing aid to find the place in the room where he or she hears best. A room that has an induction loop, has a T-sign outside the room.

Aalto University is updating its access control policy. In the future, students will use their HSL cards as access card.
Aalto University Identity management system (IdM) update starting 21.8. at 15.00
Aalto University Identity management system (IdM) will be upgraded to newer version between Friday 21 August 15.00 o’clock and Sunday 23 August evening. Upgrade will start after 15.00 on Friday and work will be continued as needed during the weekend
Short breaks in file services on Monday, 17 August, starting at 16.00
Aalto ITS will do updates in home.org.aalto.fi, work.org.aalto.fi and teamwork services to improve the service level on Monday, 17 August, starting at 16.00. This will cause some short breaks (approximately 1-3 minute / service).
Windows 10 upgrade coming in August 2020
Aalto Windows 10 will receive a large mandatory upgrade in August 2020 and it will take 1 - 3 hours to install.
