Aalto #7 in the world among universities under 50 years of age
Aalto University is the 7th best university in the world according to the latest QS Top 50 under 50 ranking, listing the fastest-rising stars of the higher education world founded less than 50 years ago. The ranking also puts Aalto as the leading young university in Europe.
The top 3 of the ranking includes Nanyang Technological University from Singapore, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and KAIST – Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
The ranking is based on the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings. Aalto's overall ranking is 137th in the world, which means it is among the top 1 per cent of all universities. Over a period of five years, Aalto's ranking in the QS Ranking has risen by 59 places.
QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) is one of the world's most important university rankings. In addition to the general ranking, it produces rankings in specific fields of science and regional rankings.
