The Aalto University website is based on the content management system (CMS) Drupal. There are plenty of tutorials and instructional pages available to you through the Services search function. 

If you have a specific question, start by checking out the FAQ page. If you cannot find an answer to your question, you can always contact us on our , or send an email to the Brand and DX team at aaltofi-feedback@aalto.fi or to Communications Services at communications@aalto.fi.

You can book an appointment to Drupal support in our booking system. You can ask there about web editing and get help with issues.

To book a time with us, follow these instructions:

2. Choose a time. You can see all available times for the day selected on the calendar on the right. The system will automatically select an available person. If there are more than one of us available, you can also select which one of us you would like to talk to.
3. Fill out your information to the form (name and email, if you like, you can also describe what type of support you need).
4. Click the "Book" button.
5. You will receive a confirmation email. If you click on the attachment on that message, you can add the booking to your calendar. With the confirmation there is also a link to Teams where you can join your appointment. If you have many questions, please book two separate, consecutive times. Please use the Teams link in the first calendar invitation to join your booked time, if you booked two.

Drupal Day and Web editor meetups

Two main events with editors happen every year. The Drupal Day, typically organised in the winter, includes a recap of the previous year, insights of upcoming developments, special trainings, clinics or workshops. The Web editor meetup occurs in the autumn and provides a review of recent developments at aalto.fi. These events serve also as platforms for discussion and feedback gathering where editors can be involved and impact website improvements.

Drupal trainings and clinics

For guidance on specific topics, you can join our Drupal trainings. The trainings have two levels:

• A Basic training to acquire Drupal editing rights to aalto.fi is organised in Workday Learning. It deals with elementary topics such as the basic structure of aalto.fi and how to create new content. This training relies on independent practice on our test site. If you need basic Drupal training, .
• Advanced trainings occur once or twice a year and are useful for editors who already know the basics of Drupal and want to deepen their skillset.

Drupal Clinics are organised on an ad-hoc basis and the topic may vary. Drupal editors can join should they need help or advice on the subject.
