Memory-friendly living in Valkeala 2025
DESIGN STUDIO. The master level design studio focused on designing memory-friendly housing for aging population.
The Housing Design Studios are advanced exercises at Master's level that focus specifically on residential architecture. These projects require students to integrate knowledge from areas such as design theory, structural engineering, and environmental sustainability. The design approach is site-specific and covers all scales from the urban setting to the detailed floor plans.

DESIGN STUDIO. This studio focused on designing a memory-friendly housing neighborhood in Kirkkonummi, near the future community health center.
This Master-level course focuses on the current trends in housing studies examined in the framework of sustainable housing design practices. Focusing on research methods and the ways of analysing data, the course examines how research findings can be applied when developing housing and living environments mainly in the Nordic context.
RESEARCH & ANALYSIS. The course focused on two main concepts: adaptability and user-centric design through theory and case studies.
The Residential Environment is a basic course in housing design at Bachelor's level, primarily aimed at practicing the design of residential buildings, apartments, and associated outdoor spaces.
