Aalto University Works K3 site is starting up
The Aalto University Works K3 project is starting as planned during February with the renovation of the “Seaside section”, continuing with the demolition of the old office wing and the construction of the new section.
Blasting and excavation work on Otaniemi campus
A water supply canal will be excavated at the Jokeri Light Rail site on Otaniementie from Tuesday 26 January 2021. The excavations are expected to last until Friday 29th January.

At the end of January, part of Konemiehentie and one lane of Sähkömiehentie will be closed. The ST1 site on Sähkömiehentie is currently being demolished.
The use of Aalto's current online travel booking tool will end
The use of Aalto's current online travel booking tool will end on 31.12.2020. Starting from 1.1.2021, all travel reservations are made directly through Aalto's contracted travel agency GBT by phone or e-mail, or by contacting Aalto Travel Services.

The amount of remote teaching and lecture capture enabled facilities have increased when Otakaari 1 lecture halls M2 (M233) and M3 (M234) have their audiovisual facelifts finalized. These additions increase the total number of lecture capture enabled spaces to over 50 throughout Aalto campus.

Aalto University wants to make the tracing of any possible coronavirus exposures in the workplace as effective as possible. To this end, the university is adopting a workspace reservation system, which everyone coming to work on campus must use to reserve their workspaces beforehand.
