- MyCourses is a Moodle-based learning environment at Aalto University.
- Course workspaces are automatically created based on information from the Sisu student information system. Students and teachers are assigned roles in the course workspace according to the data in Sisu.
- Teachers can share materials, assign and evaluate tasks and exams, create groups, and assess course performances.

MyCourses user interface
You need an Aalto user account to log in. Workspaces for which you have a designated role are accessible via MyCourses' My Home page or under the My Courses section.
MyCourses workspaces are automatically created based on course information in Sisu. Workspaces are created overnight. Therefore, a new course created in Sisu will not appear in MyCourses immediately, but only the next day. Students can access the workspace once their course registration has been accepted.
At Aalto University, these two systems are integrated. A Sisu page is automatically created for each course confirmed in the curriculum.
MyCourses workspaces are automatically generated based on the information from each course in Sisu.
Once students have registered for a course in Sisu and the teacher has confirmed the registrations, the student information is automatically transferred from Sisu to MyCourses.

The course workspace is available to teachers and students for at least two academic years. After this period, the workspace is removed from the system. Teachers do not need to clean up or delete content from the course workspace unless some content needs to be removed earlier.
Yes, you can use a separate workspace for thesis supervision or thesis monitoring tasks. Request the required workspace by .

Yes, in two ways:
- You can request a trial workspace ("sandbox") for yourself and explore the functionalities. Request a workspace through the MyTeaching Support service. It is worth checking if a MyCourses sandbox has already been created for you earlier. A sandbox is often created during training and orientation. If you already have a sandbox, you can find it in the My Courses listing on MyCourses.
- You can explore MyCourses using a self-study course.
