Communications to aaltonians
The main channels for internal communications are aalto.fi, Aalto Social, newsletters, and community events.

The personnel newsletter compiles current content published on the Aalto.fi website into a news digest, which you can easily read when and where ever you are. From the letter, you can see at a glance both news and highlights common to all Aalto employees as well as current news of your own school.
As an Aalto employee, you will automatically receive the personnel newsletter* in your e-mail.
The letter is sent to everyone in English. You can read the letter in Finnish by clicking on the Uutiskirje suomeksi link in the upper right corner of the letter. The majority of the content is for Aalto community only, so please do log in with your Aalto ID. The newsletter is published and edited by Aalto University Communications.

The letter is published biweekly on Thursdays: 14.8., 28.8., 11.9., 25.9., 910., 23.10., 6.11., 20.11., 4.12. and 18.12. Please note that changes are possible.
The content for the letter is chosen by Aalto University Communications. You can have an influence on the content by publishing news and events on Aalto.fi website. Please contact communications services if you need editing rights to the content management system: communications@aalto.fi.

If you wish to include your content in the letter, please submit the links to the content and a proposal on a short heading, which should, preferably, include a call to action. Send your proposal no later than the Monday morning prior to the publishing date to: communications@aalto.fi.

The letter is sent in English for all, and you can find the link to the Finnish version from the top right. This way we can help our international staff to access both the newsletter content as well as other current content on Aalto.fi more easily.
The newsletter does not collect information about individual readers. Data is only collected on newsletter opening volumes. Information about the clicked contents is collected as part of the analytics of the Aalto.fi website. An individual user cannot be identified from the collected information.
The newsletter is sent by e-mail to one address for the whole personnel and to another one of Aalto emeriti professors. The recipient information in the addresses is automatically updated from the university's personnel information system. Thus, mailing lists are not managed manually and one cannot unsubscribe the letter. The employee's email address will be removed from the list at the end of the employment.
