Updated 30 September 2025

The personnel newsletter compiles current content published on the Aalto.fi website into a news digest, which you can easily read when and where ever you are. From the letter, you can see at a glance both news and highlights common to all Aalto employees as well as current news of your own school.

As an Aalto employee, you will automatically receive the personnel newsletter* in your e-mail.

The letter is sent to everyone in English. You can read the letter in Finnish by clicking on the Uutiskirje suomeksi link in the upper right corner of the letter. The majority of the content is for Aalto community only, so please do log in with your Aalto ID. The newsletter is published and edited by Aalto University Communications.

Guidelines: how to get your content included in the newsletter

The content for the letter is chosen by Aalto University Communications. You can have an influence on the content by publishing news and events on Aalto.fi website. Please contact communications services if you need editing rights to the content management system: communications@aalto.fi.

Common content for all (Aalto Info)

We prioritize content that concerns the entire personnel or as much of it as possible and meets one of the following criteria:

  • Support inclusion and well-being at work and study, build a sense of community, or provide information about the campus
  • Matters related to the University's management, strategy and annual processes
  • Community events, other events open to all
  • Communicate about the developments in research, education and learning
  • Promote the societal impact of the University and its community members

In congestion situations, we select content based on the above criteria that:

  • Apply to as large a part of the personnel as possible, and there’s a reason to use the channel in terms of reach
  • Include a clearly directed message or point of view for the personnel
  • The matter is topical and/or has not been highlighted before

If you wish to include your content in the letter, please submit the links to the content and a proposal on a short heading, which should, preferably, include a call to action. Send your proposal no later than the Monday morning prior to the publishing date to: communications@aalto.fi.

Make sure to follow news and events fresh online - please visit the For personnel page and the news listing page where you can filter content displayed in both listings.
